Oltenia's SME digitalization call: closed since August 2024, with projects on the home straight

Oltenia was among the first regions to close its SME call — which means its winning companies are now among the first that must finish implementation.

Closed on 24 August 2024 at 12:00, among the first in the country: the SME digitalization call of the Regional Programme (Programul Regional) Sud-Vest Oltenia offered de minimis grants between 10,000 and 75,000 euro per project to companies in Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinți, Olt and Vâlcea, at a funding rate of up to 90% with a minimum 10% own contribution. Its call allocation was reduced from 3,125,726 euro to 2,334,236 euro by General Corrigendum no. 30549 of 7 April 2026. The early closure has a consequence we see on the ground: Oltenia's projects are further along in implementation than the national average, and their completion deadlines knock on the door sooner. For companies in Craiova, Târgu Jiu or Râmnicu Vâlcea in this situation, the last leg of the road is the most delicate: final acceptances, durability reports and reimbursement files all require the delivered software to match the approved funding application exactly. We step in both on projects going well (acceleration, final modules, documentation) and on projects stalled by suppliers who no longer deliver — taking over the code and building a realistic completion plan. For companies without a contract, the active channels are national or regional support services rather than a second regional grant round.

How we help

Completion without losing eligibility

Final modules, outstanding integrations, acceptance documentation — we close approved projects exactly the way the reimbursement file requires.

Rescue for abandoned projects

Original supplier gone? We take over the existing code and deliverables and build the completion plan around the time that remains.

The seven-of-twelve technology threshold, treated as a requirement

The guide only counts a high digital intensity level when at least 7 of the 12 listed digital technologies are actually used — we map each one onto a deliverable module.

Software eligible under this programme

  • ERP and CRM
  • Process automation
  • E-commerce
  • Cybersecurity

Frequently asked questions

Our Craiova project is nearly done, but the supplier is late with the last module — what do we do?

First measure exactly what is missing against the approved funding application, module by module and against the acceptance criteria. Then the standard options: contractual pressure on the supplier with firm deadlines, or hand-over of the remaining module to a new team, with the change notified to the project officer in advance. The remaining contractual time decides which.

What is the durability report and why does software matter in it?

After completion, beneficiaries report for years that the investment operates as designed — and an abandoned or unused software system shows up immediately at checks. That is why we deliver with real training and affordable maintenance: a system genuinely used every day turns durability reporting into a formality.

What was the final budget of Oltenia's SME digitalization call?

The guide originally set the call allocation at 3,125,726 euro from ERDF plus the state budget. General Corrigendum no. 30549 of 7 April 2026 changed it to 2,334,236 euro, of which 1,984,101 euro from ERDF and 350,135 euro from the state budget, in order to align allocations with the programme envelope approved by Commission Decision no. 1354 of 25 February 2026.
