For a software project under POCIDIF Action 2.1 the real ceiling is 1,500,000 euros, not 3,000,000: the larger figure applies only to projects whose result is an innovative hardware product manufactured by the beneficiary. The minimum grant is 200,000 euros regardless of the result. The call opened on 30 June 2026 at 15:00 and closes on 30 September 2026 at 17:00; the applicant guide was approved by Order MIPE no. 965 of 23 June 2026, and only Romanian SMEs holding one of the nine authorized ICT CAEN codes may apply. Action 2.1 does not fund internal digitalization — it funds developing a new product you take to market, with implementation capped at 24 months and completion no later than 31 December 2029. Who can apply and under what conditions

The POCIDIF 2.1 call is reserved exclusively for SMEs with an authorized ICT CAEN code, according to the list in the applicant guide. The submission window runs from 30 June 2026, 15:00, to 30 September 2026, 17:00, and the managing authority is MIPE — the Ministry of Investments and European Projects.

Projects are implemented within a maximum of 24 months, with completion no later than 31 December 2029. All other conditions — company history, financial indicators, scoring — are verified exclusively in the official guide, linked in the programme sheet.

Which software projects the call targets

Action 2.1 finances the development of new products, services and applications through innovation and the adoption of advanced technologies: artificial intelligence, IoT, augmented or virtual reality, robotics, SaaS-type software platforms.

The difference from classic internal-digitalization calls: here you do not buy software for your own company — you develop a software product you will take to market. It is the right call for ICT companies with a validated product idea.

We are not funding consultants and we do not write financing applications. Our role is the technical component: the detailed offer, the budget by eligible cost category, the draft development contract, then the actual implementation and the reimbursement paperwork.

If you already work with a consultant on the administrative side of the dossier, we coordinate with them directly — we answer for everything related to the software product, from specifications to delivery.

My company has no ICT CAEN code — can I apply to POCIDIF 2.1?

No. The POCIDIF Action 2.1 call is reserved for SMEs with an authorized ICT CAEN code, per the list in the applicant guide. If you operate in another field, we can point you to alternative lines such as the EDIH services or the financial instrument through FNGCIMM.

What kinds of projects does POCIDIF 2.1 finance?
