South-West Oltenia: the digitalization calls closed early — here is what remains on the table

Oltenia launched its digital calls among the first in the country — and closed them among the first too. An honest look at what that means if you missed the train.

Northdan Soft is a software supplier, not a funding consultancy, and is not affiliated with any managing authority or development agency. Programme information is indicative — always check the conditions in the programme's official applicant guide.

Speed defined South-West Oltenia — Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinți, Olt and Vâlcea — in the 2021-2027 period: Priority 2 of its regional programme, „Digitalizare în beneficiul cetățenilor și al firmelor” (digitalization for the benefit of citizens and companies), launched and closed both of its major calls back in 2024. The SME call closed on 24 August 2024 at 12:00; the „Digitalizare în beneficiul cetățenilor” call for UATs and county councils — grants between €100,000 and €600,000 — ran from 22 March to 22 June 2024. The SME call's allocation has since been revised downwards twice by the managing authority's own general corrigenda: to €3,125,726 by the corrigendum registered 62184/12.09.2025, and then to €2,334,236 — €1,984,101 ERDF and €350,135 from the state budget — by the corrigendum registered 30549/07.04.2026, which aligns allocations with the programme envelope approved by Commission Decision no. 1354 of 25 February 2026. That places the region in a different phase from the rest of the country: here nobody is waiting for launches; people are implementing. Town halls and companies with signed contracts now need vendors who deliver within project deadlines — precisely our role as a software development partner. For companies in Gorj and Dolj, counties included in the just transition, the national PTJ programmes remain relevant, and their sheets are linked from our dedicated pages. Verified on 30 July 2026 against both general corrigenda and the two call sheets published by the managing authority.

How we help

The current number, with the act behind it

We publish the allocation together with the number and date of the corrigendum that set it, so you can check yourself whether a third one has appeared since.

Regional ceilings compared correctly

Oltenia's SME digitalization call reached €75,000 per project, not €100,000 as in two other regions. Ceilings do not transfer between regional agencies.

Execution for contracted projects

Oltenia beneficiaries with financing signed under the 2024 calls face delivery deadlines — we build the software component on a firm schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Will the digitalization call for Oltenia UATs reopen?

At our 30 July 2026 verification there was no relaunch announcement on the ADR Sud-Vest Oltenia site, and the citizens-facing call is listed as closed after a 22 March to 22 June 2024 submission window. The priority's budget was committed in the 2024 calls. For town halls that did not apply, DigiLocal is no longer a route we can name without checking: its figures were VAT-inclusive maximums allocated in registration order, and its last documented session closed in 2024.

What were the terms of the citizens-and-UATs call?

Grants between €100,000 and €600,000 for public service digitalization projects, with a public beneficiary type, an approved guide dated 22 January 2024 and four corrigenda through July 2024. The least discussed detail is the evaluation rule: the call sheet stated that evaluation proceeds in the order projects were filed in MySMIS, which makes the day of submission a criterion in itself.

What options do companies in Craiova or Târgu Jiu have now?

The regional SME call closed in August 2024. What is active sits at national level or in the EDIH network: the POCIDIF call for information technology companies runs to 30 September 2026 with a €200,000 minimum per project, and the DIGIVEST consortium — which includes ADR Sud-Vest Oltenia — put a call for selecting beneficiary companies of digitalization support services into public consultation on 29 July 2026.
