The first fixed milestone in the calendar falls on 24 September 2026 at 20:00, when SME Eco-Tech stops receiving applications — though MEDAT, Romania's ministry for entrepreneurship, may extend the session until its budget is exhausted. Six days later, on 30 September 2026, comes the last day to file under POCIDIF Action 2.1, the only large-scale national digitalization call currently open. On 30 October 2026 the payment deadline for PNRR C9 projects expires, set through Order 963/2026 — distinct from the implementation deadlines of 30.06.2026 and 31.07.2026. The horizon stretches to 8 December 2027, the general cut-off for Start-Up Nation beneficiaries to finalize their expenditure. Layered over these fixed dates sit the calls without one: AFIR sessions announced through the agency's own schedule and MEDAT programmes conditioned on the budget. The ministry's consolidated estimative calendar for 2026, dated January 2026, lists 292 planned calls worth 6,617,288,234 EUR in total, of which 5,146,020,638 EUR is EU money — one more reason to have the technical side of your project ready before a window opens, not after. Those are estimated months, not binding deadlines.

The fixed deadlines of 2026–2027, in order

24.09.2026, 20:00 — SME Eco-Tech stops accepting submissions (MEDAT reserves the right to extend until the 288.8 million lei budget is exhausted). 30.09.2026 — POCIDIF Action 2.1 closes, the call offering 200,000–1,500,000 EUR in non-repayable aid for innovative software solutions built by SMEs with an ICT CAEN code.

30.10.2026 — the deadline by which payments for PNRR C9 projects are executed, under Order 963/2026; the implementation itself must end earlier, on 30.06.2026, or 31.07.2026 for projects with an extension approved through MIPE Order 607/2026. 08.12.2027 — the general cut-off for Start-Up Nation beneficiaries to finalize expenditure.

Calls without a fixed date: AFIR and MEDAT — plus a correction on PEO

AFIR sessions for the PNS interventions open according to the calendar published by AFIR. On 30 July 2026 the investment interventions listed on the agency's funding pages were DR 15, DR 16, DR 19, DR 20, DR 22, DR 23, DR 25, DR 26, DR 30 and DR 33, plus sub-measure 4.1; digitalization has no intervention of its own and enters as part of an investment project.

On the MEDAT side, Start-Up Nation session 2 has been officially announced — the training stage first, then the financing stage, with dates still unpublished — while Microindustrializare and Comerț remain conditional on the adoption of MEDAT's 2026 budget. The rest of the funding wave is described, with attribution, in the MIPE estimative calendar dated January 2026.

PEO no longer belongs in this category, and the correction is ours. The call „Competențe digitale pentru piața muncii” appeared in this calendar as having a published guide and no scheduled launch. The managing authority's announcement says the opposite: MySMIS2021 opened on 28 May 2024 at 16:00 and projects could be submitted until 23 August 2024 at 16:00, with no extension and no later round on the announcement page. A call that closed in the summer of 2024 has no place in a calendar of future deadlines, so we remove it from here and keep it in the verified archive of closed calls. On digital training we identified no open session at the date of this check; when the authority announces one, it enters the calendar with its source.

How we prepare clients before a call opens

Our rule is simple: the technical offer must be ready before submission, not drafted against the clock inside the call window. When a client tells us which programme they are pursuing, we define the software solution together, write the specifications and build the budget on the eligible-cost structure from the guide — so that at launch the consultant receives the documents within the same week.

This approach matters most for calls with short windows or continuous submission until the budget runs out, where filing order can count. We stop at the technical file: we do not draft the funding application, we do not estimate scores and we do not promise approvals — we are the software vendor, and the dossier stays with the company or its consultant.
