West region: where the digitalization money went and what is still coming
Four counties, one regional programme — and three different own-contribution rates for exactly the same digitalization call.
Arad, Caraș-Severin, Hunedoara and Timiș sit under Programul Regional Vest 2021-2027 (the West Regional Programme), managed by ADR Vest from Timișoara, which brings €1.18 billion to the region across eight priorities. On digitalization, call PRV/1.2/1 for SME digitalization opened on 1 July 2025 at 12:00 with an allocation of €15,382,353 — €13,075,000 ERDF and €2,307,353 from the state budget — and grants between €10,000 and €100,000 under de minimis rules, capped at 30% of the arithmetic mean of turnover for the last two closed financial years. The own contribution is not uniform across the region: 10% in Hunedoara and Caraș-Severin, 17% in Arad and 24% in Timiș. The call closed on 20 February 2026 at 12:00, per the consolidated guide approved by Decision no. 146 of 15 January 2026 of the head of the managing authority — a date still given incorrectly as September 2025 in summaries that stopped following the corrigenda. Meanwhile the DIGIVEST consortium, led by ADR Vest, put the guide for its digitalization support-services call into public consultation on 29 July 2026, open until 14 August 2026; those services are addressed to SMEs, not to town halls. Verified on 30 July 2026 against the programme pages and the agency's news feed.

How we help
Own contribution, per county
The same investment costs a Timișoara company more than a Reșița one, because call 1.2 sets a different own-contribution rate in each of the four counties.
The correct closing date
20 February 2026 at 12:00, from the consolidated guide approved by Decision no. 146/15.01.2026 — not one of the older dates still circulating for this call.
Free services flagged as free
When the regional hub offers at no cost a service we could otherwise invoice — digital maturity assessment, for instance — we tell you to take it from there.
Frequently asked questions
When did the West region SME digitalization call actually close?
On 20 February 2026 at 12:00, per the consolidated guide approved by Decision no. 146 of 15 January 2026 of the head of the PR Vest managing authority. Call PRV/1.2/1 had opened on 1 July 2025 at 12:00. Earlier closing dates still circulating for this call come from superseded versions of the guide.
When will the smart city call for West region UATs launch?
There is no confirmed date. At our 30 July 2026 verification, no approved guide and no guide in public consultation was listed for it on the ADR Vest pages. The priority it is expected under is named „Regiune smart”. The sources that matter are the agency's active-guides and guides-in-consultation sections, not press articles floating a calendar.
What does a company concretely get from DIGIVEST, and who is the applicant?
Services at no cost to the company: access to the regional, national and European digital innovation ecosystem, digital skills development, testing technologies before procurement, guidance towards funding sources, and a one-stop shop for AI. The applicant for the European funding remains the hub, never the company; the company is selected as a beneficiary of services under a contract. The guide entered public consultation on 29 July 2026, running until 14 August 2026 at 17:00.
