One hub, two very different territories: Wallachia eHub (WeH) covers both Bucharest-Ilfov, with its dense services economy, and South Muntenia, where industry, agriculture and mid-sized cities are digitalising at pace. Headquartered in Bucharest and coordinated by Spiru Haret University through USH Pro Business, WeH was assembled precisely for this double mandate — roughly 15 core partners, among them BEIA Cercetare, Bucharest Promo Robots, the Technology Enabled Construction cluster, Danube Engineering Hub and UPG Ploiești, surrounded by an extended network of about 70 members. Its specialisations reach into corners few Romanian hubs serve: alongside green digital technologies, AI and cybersecurity sit robotics, mobility, GIS and BIM for construction, with services extending to precision agriculture and smart city. Everything arrives as subsidised services, on the conditions of the hub's service scheme — cash grants are not on offer. And where WeH sets the direction, Northdan Soft executes: we develop the recommended application, integration or platform and put the technical offer plus the eligible-cost budget down on paper.

How we help
One hub for two regions
Companies in Bucharest-Ilfov and in the South Muntenia counties share a single access point to EDIH services, from digital assessment to technology testing.
Niche specialisations: GIS, BIM, precision agriculture
Alongside AI and cybersecurity, WeH covers fields rarely served — BIM for construction, GIS, precision agriculture — useful to companies in traditional sectors.
An extended network of about 70 members
Beyond the core partners, the hub's wider network opens access to research partners, integrators and clusters from both regions.
A clear route to implementation
At Northdan Soft, WeH recommendations become delivered software — web applications, AI integration, data platforms — together with the documentation for financing the investment.
Who is behind Wallachia eHub
Coordination belongs to Spiru Haret University, through USH Pro Business, and the roughly 15 core partners include BEIA Cercetare, Bucharest Promo Robots, the Technology Enabled Construction cluster, Danube Engineering Hub and UPG Ploiești. Around this core gravitates an extended network of about 70 members.
The headquarters are in Bucharest, but the mandate explicitly covers both regions: South Muntenia and Bucharest-Ilfov. For an SME in Ploiești, Pitești or Călărași, WeH is just as accessible as for one in the capital.
Services with a green accent and applied sectors
The technology portfolio combines green digital technologies with AI, cybersecurity, robotics and mobility, joined by GIS and BIM — essential instruments for construction and land administration. The services also include precision agriculture and smart city applications.
As throughout the EDIH network, support means subsidised services — assessment, testing before investing, training, orientation towards funding — and not money wired to the beneficiary; access conditions are checked on weh.spiruharet.ro, in line with the hub's service scheme.
How Northdan Soft continues what WeH starts
We are not members of the consortium and offer no funds-access consultancy. Our role is the vendor's: once the hub has validated your direction — a GIS platform, an AI integration, a BIM-based site application —, we build it and deliver it.
On the funding side, the hub publishes its own numbers: 3,172,262.50 euro in total, split 50% Digital Europe Programme and 50% POCIDIF, under project codes EC/101083410 and POCIDIF/1147/2/1/161799, with an implementation period from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2025. That POCIDIF code belongs to Action 2.4, which closed on 25 October 2023; the consolidation stage runs through Action 6.1, open to the seven STEP-sealed hubs until 30 December 2026. In both calls the eligible applicant is the hub, not your company.
Frequently asked questions
Can my company in Ploiești work with Wallachia eHub?
Yes — WeH serves the whole South Muntenia region (Prahova included), plus Bucharest-Ilfov. UPG Ploiești is in fact one of the consortium's core partners.
What do I actually get from WeH, if not money?
Subsidised services: a digital maturity assessment, testing of a technology on your case (AI, GIS, BIM, robotics), training for your team and orientation towards the funding calls that fit the investment — all in line with the hub's service scheme.
Does WeH also help construction or agriculture businesses?
Yes, it is one of the hub's distinctive traits: the BIM competences come through the Technology Enabled Construction cluster, and the precision-agriculture services address farms and agri-food companies in South Muntenia directly.
Who actually develops the solution the hub recommends?
A software vendor of your choosing — the hub does not carry out commercial implementations. Northdan Soft takes the WeH report and delivers the recommended application or integration, with the technical offer and budget prepared for the financing you access.
