Action 1.6, high digital intensity in SMEs: the managing authority wrote cancelled in its own call calendar

A cancelled call is not announced by press release but by a table cell. Here is the cell, the document it sits in, and what it means for companies that counted on it.

Action 1.6 of the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Programme is officially named support for reaching a high level of digital intensity in SMEs, and as of 30 July 2026 it is the only digitalization line of the programme marked cancelled by its own managing authority. The evidence is not an absence but a text: in the indicative call calendar published in October 2025 on regiobucuresti-ilfov.ro, the row for action 1.6 shows a call budget of zero and, in the call-type column, the word cancelled. The same document marks the action with two asterisks, placing it among the measures subject to the programme modification. In the later versions of the calendar, dated 30 March 2026 and 13 July 2026, action 1.6 no longer appears at all. The programme's call register contains no call launched under this action and no public consultation on it, which means 1.6 never became a submission window. The action is still listed on the programme's Priority 1 page, but it is neither funded nor scheduled.

How we help

The status, with the document behind it

We do not infer cancellation from absence: we read it from the call-type column of the calendar published by the managing authority.

What was lost, in figures

We show what the action provided before cancellation, so a company can judge the order of magnitude of the missed opportunity.

Redirection based on real eligibility

We do not send a company towards a programme it does not qualify for. First the entry condition, then the route.

Frequently asked questions

How can the cancellation of action 1.6 be verified at source?

The call calendar page on the ADR Bucharest-Ilfov website has an archive section with every version of the indicative calendar. In the October 2025 file, the row for action 1.6 shows a call budget and an EU budget of zero, and the call-type column contains the word cancelled. In the versions dated 30 March 2026 and 13 July 2026 the action no longer appears, and the programme's call register contains no call launched under 1.6.

Was a submission window ever opened under 1.6?

No. The May 2025 calendar estimated the final guide for July 2025 and submission for September 2025, but neither the guide nor the call was published. The sections for active, closed and forthcoming calls, and the programme's public consultation page, contain no document on this action. There are therefore no applications, no project lists and no contracts under 1.6.

Where did the money of action 1.6 go?

Into other priorities of the same programme. The cancellation came with the programme modification approved by the Monitoring Committee on 16 October 2025, driven by the mid-term evaluation required under art. 18 of Regulation (EU) 1060/2021 and by Regulation (EU) 2025/1914. The 13 July 2026 calendar contains priorities absent from earlier versions, among them defence, with 55,800,000 euros, and social housing, with 25,000,000 euros.
