We have almost no IT budget. Is custom software realistic?
Sometimes the honest answer is no — we frequently configure NGO-discounted or open-source tools instead, and charge only for the gaps. Where a custom build is justified, digitalisation software is generally an eligible expense on digitalisation programmes; what qualifies, and under what conditions, is set out in each programme’s applicant guide. We build the software, not the application file.
Our team changes constantly. What happens to the system?
We design for handover as a requirement: simple role-based interfaces, documentation written for non-technical successors, and optional low-cost support so knowledge does not walk out with one coordinator.
How do you protect sensitive beneficiary data?
With special care — vulnerable people’s data gets minimal collection, strict access scoping, EU hosting and audit logs, plus consent flows designed for your field reality, not just legal boilerplate.
How is donor data handled under GDPR?
Consent is recorded per channel with a date and a source, withdrawal is a single action that propagates everywhere, and everything you hold about a donor can be exported or erased on request. For organisations running public campaigns this is not paperwork — it is what keeps the fundraising list lawful and usable.
