What is computer use?
Computer use is the ability of an AI to operate a computer the way a person does: it sees the screen, moves the mouse, types and navigates through applications.
The screen, the mouse and the keyboard — exactly the tools an employee works with — can now be handled by an AI. That is what computer use means: the model receives screenshots, recognises the buttons and fields on them, then clicks, types and navigates through applications to complete its task. The major practical consequence is that your software no longer needs an API or a connector. The AI can work inside a ten-year-old ERP, inside a government portal, or inside a Windows application with no integration interface whatsoever, exactly as a human operator would. For your company that unlocks automation of the untouchable systems: entering data into legacy programs, downloading documents from portals, moving information between applications that were never designed to talk to each other.
